Vendor Management PMO - Northampton

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Vendor Management PMO (Project Management Officer) in Northampton to work for our client within the Finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Vendor Management PMO to join their team. The team manages fixed price vendor contracts across GFED to ensure a consistent and effective approach, partnering with sourcing & vendor management. This includes end to end process starting with stakeholder engagement through to approvals, financial management (accruals etc) and forward-looking strategy.

You must be proactive, result oriented, structured, and able to operate under pressure in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Raise, coordinate, and manage all third-party requests, acting as the primary point of contact
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the sourcing team, vendor management, finance team, business managers and portfolio managers to ensure all deals are raised and managed in line with requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with each deal in a timely and effective manner
• Coordination with Finance in regards to PO Accruals and journals, validating monthly PO actuals to ensure postings are inline and supporting all finance related queries
• Ensure that financial standards, sourcing requirements and contractual obligations are met and that the required governance is adhered to
• Support in preparing reports on FP performance and status to senior management
• Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise wide risk management framework and internal policies and policy standards

Requirements

• Requires stakeholder management skills, including supporting any challenging deal constructs
• Requires excellent communication and presentation skills
• Acts as a primary point of contact for stakeholders
• Ensures that sufficient level of detail and quality is maintained
• Able to work with minimal support on established processes
• Works collaboratively
• Adapts to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary
• Understands the importance of strong awareness of the Control framework within which the client manages risk and supports team members in understanding it
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across a number of tasks simultaneously
• Intermediate Excel skills with knowledge of V-lookup and Pivots
• Experience of working within a project/programme/portfolio environment with an understanding of financial management principles
• Additional procurement experience would be beneficial
